The place of the ancient ones
Lake Buenos Aires is the second largest in South America after Titicaca, and we share it with Chile. Its deep blue waters and smooth-pebble beaches change colour with the light throughout the day, with the snowy peaks of the Andes behind. Los Antiguos keeps the area's original name, I Keu Konk, “the place of the ancient ones”, a sacred site for the Tehuelche people.
Sport fishing
Trout, salmon and perch, prized by fly fishers.
Cherry Festival
The microclimate lets cherries, strawberries and raspberries grow; every January the Provincial Cherry Festival is held.
Kayaking and trekking
Lake beaches, walks and cherry farms to explore.
Border with Chile
You can cross to Chile Chico and see the other side of the lake.
